ACC and Your Firm’s Registration as online agent
Just a reminder that several of our clients have already registered as online agents for ACC purposes, many are already providing a structured ACC Administration and Advisory service to clients, others in anticipation of doing just that. In view of the fact that ACC have recently written to many of your clients and proactively suggested they consider Cover Plus Extra, maybe now is a great time to be even more proactive and offer your clients a much appreciated full ACC service.
GST Rate Increase following from Budget 2010
In the days following this year’s budget, clients have asked that we provide two particular pieces of content. Firstly, a GST Alert newsletter, heralding in the broadest sense the issues to consider following on from the GST rate increase, and secondly a well structured and defined GST Checklist that firms can use to formally engage clients in a review of all relevant issues in advance of 1 October this year.
And we’re doing just that. We aim to publish very soon both a newsletter and GST Review checklist, covering the essential marketing, pricing, systems, compliance and documentation resulting from the increase.
By the way, we believe you should separate broadcasting general concepts (for example in a GST newsletter) from the provision of detailed and specific advice, administered often on a client by client basis. It’s so easy to give your intellectual property away. Often when you do this, everybody loses. Many of your clients aren’t great at self-diagnosis.
