Content Update Highlights
The Content Update 66 has been released and is ready for your administrator to download. This Content Update includes:
UPDATED
Electronic Work Papers
If you wish to go through the changes in detail, your Administrator has been sent a link to the Content Update Log.
In brief, this update has focused on fixing issues which have been causing frustration for clients. Errors in the work papers have been fixed and coding has been introduced to correct for issues arising from variations between the operating environments of Excel 2000, 2003 and 2007. The work papers affected are:
- Electronic Work Papers
- Electronic Work Papers Static
- Dividend Electronic Work Papers: it was a nice idea to integrate them into the main work papers. However, it caused firms too many issues around excessive file sizes, row and column formats. So we've taken them out and it's once again an individual document, linked from the procedures Financial Statements - Electronic Work Papers and Dividend Preparation
UPDATED
Guides
The guides for Administrator and Client Setup and the guide to functionality have been updated incorporating additional features and notes on usage. Make sure your team members know about the client setup and functionality guides
Important
Notes about Administration Setup
Your Administrator will need the Administration Setup Guide as before to complete Administration Setup before the team can use the work papers which connect to the GL. They'll be able to do this more quickly if they save down or print a copy of the Setup sheet and the B1 Review Summary sheet from your current work papers before they do the update.
For firms running a variety of version of Excel, it's critical that your Administrator NOT complete Administration Setup on a computer running Excel 2000 - it will cause problems for users running higher versions of Excel.
